For those who watch me on DA or who have been to my site, Beyond the Haven is basically a small series of writings or snippets that focused mostly around the characters of my website which includes my STH self (Mistica the echidna) and pets of Mist the cat, Pak the guinea pig, and Alice the cornsnake. The website has been up for nearly two years although my STH self and main pets of Mist and Pak has actually been around much longer than that since I had originally created my STH self at age 17 (which as according to rules of sonic fandom, is the age of the character herself). Alice is actually a newer character who will be a year old this coming August. The first of so far three writings introduces her character into the lives of the other characters.
Along with that, the thread on this board will possibly explain in artist like notes of why or how certain ideas for snippets come to me so for those who read the snippets here, you're getting an extra bonus so enjoy! ;D

Artist notes: So this is the first snippet I came up with which is titled Her name is Alice as a referrence to the Shinedown song of the same name. The inspiration for the three pets was very simple. Mist the cat was created to kind of represent the angry side to Mistica, essentially when I came up with the characters, I never had any plans for Mistica to show any over the top emotions and instead Mist would be the one to do that. Well, that ended up not happening that way but while I changed on how my STH self would act, Mist's personality stuck because to be honest, I found it funny that he was a pissed off little cat who wanted nothing more but causing others misery and wanting to one day take over the world. Yes, I have a warped sense of humor but oh well, to me it was kind of funny. Also, I would like to own a black cat myself some day and I thought it would be neat to make one for my STH self as a referrence to that. Pak the guinea pig was created as a referrence to my past pet guinea pig who was actually named Patches. Pak's personality was made to be nicer and slight naive to basically be a foil and opposite to Mist and also make the two be kind of like a warped version of a cat and mouse since Mist doens't like Pak and does whatever he can to get rid of him. Alice, the newest of all these pet characters, was created as a referrence to the first corn snake that I owned who I had decided to give her that name because she reminded me of that character. I made Alice be a "vegetarian" as a joke of pointing at stuff like Twlight who have the vamps be vegetarians but yet, they still consume a form of meat. I decided to make Alice's introduction to the Haven be the basis of my first snippet because I figured that it would be like introducing the audience to the characters of the Haven along with her.
Her name is Alice
It was early afternoon when the black cat known to everyone else as Mist was taking one of his many naps as part of his daily routine, more or less. The bedroom door opened as he peeked over to see his owner, Mistica, carry inside a glass tank. He waited until she left before he decided to jump upon the small dresser in order to get a better look.
It's official, she bought fish despite having a cat, he thought to himself with a dark grin upon his face.
Quickly the grin disappeared when he saw that this tank had no water in it….at all! In fact, the setup was the complete opposite of that for a fish tank but when he peered through the glass….that dark grin returned. Inside the tank was none other than a small snake, gray and brown in color, curled up asleep from the looks of it. He then looked over towards the other small dresser which sitting upon it was Pak's cage, a pet guinea pig who happened to live within the very same house much to Mist's dismay.
He looked from one cage to the other and then back towards Pak's cage once again, calculating a nice little plan from the looks of it. While Mist didn't know much about snakes, he knew one fact for certain, snakes were carnivores and ate live animals as a food source, rodents being a common food source and it just so happens that guinea pigs were considered one type of rodent. He then saw this as a nice opportunity, he really didn't like Pak and this reptile could be the answer to his prayers, a way to get rid of the pakrat for good. The cat then put his little scheme into action, he jumped across to the bed and then ran over towards the other cage. He looked as he saw the little guinea pig was sleeping.
"Hey Pak", no answer as he tried again, "Yo, Pakrat, get your little furry butt up!"
The guinea pig stirred as he gave a loud yawn, only to see that it was Mist who woke him up, "What is it? Is there an emergency or something?"
"Oh no, just thought you would want to say hello to the new member of the house, that's all."
Pak's eyes became wide as he looked across the room to see the glass tank but seemed confused, "Did Mistica buy some fish?"
"No, dumbass, she bought a reptile."
Pak was still confused, "What kind of reptile? An iguana?"
"No."
"A lizard?"
"Nope."
"…a chameleon?"
Mist was getting annoyed now, "Okay, this isn't Dateline! It's just a reptile and I figured that you should go say hi, so that way you won't be rude! Also, I already said hey to it so it's only right that you do."
Pak glared at him with his little paws crossed, "Then if you already said hi then why don't you tell me what it is?"
Well that's perceptive, the cat thought, "It…was…inside it's cave so I didn't see it but it told me that it was a reptile so…that's how I know…"
"Mist, I don't know-."
The cat opened his cage as he grabbed him by the scruff of his back, "Look, if you're nervous than allow me to help you!"
Running to the glass tank, Mist tossed Pak in and closed it, watching as he waited for the carnage to began.
Pak shook his body after the rough treatment and then saw the animal curled up, he put on a smile and as he was going to say something, it lifted it's head and the creature's tongue did what a snake's tongue does….wait, a snake?! Pak now knew what animal he was dealing with as he ran to the glass, pounding on it, "Mist, open the cage, let me out, it's a snake, a viscous bloodthirsty snake, it's going to eat me!!!"
"Yeah, I know, ain't it great! God, do I wish I had a camera!"
Pak then turned his back as the snake slithered to him, his eyes as big as saucer plates, only one thought crossed his mind, he was a goner!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, please don't eat me, I don't taste good, too much fur, oh please, oh please don't eat me!" he begged.
The snake looked at him confused, "I'm not going to eat you."
That was unexpected, "Huh? You're not?"
"Say what?!" Mist was ready to see the bloodshed yet the snake said no to eating him?! Pak was relieved but curious, "If you don't mind me asking, why not?"
The snake began to explain, "Well, first off, you're way too large for a snake of my size to eat let alone even try it, I'm still young and not even close to being full grown yet and second, I'm a vegetarian, I don't eat live things. I came over to see who you were actually, my name is Alice, what's yours?"
"My name is Pak!"
Mist, still not believing what just happened, immediately opened the cage as he peered inside, "Wait, wait, hold up! You're a vegetarian…as in you don't eat meat."
"Well, technically, I don't eat live or pre-killed food but I do eat frozen foods as part of my diet." The cat just stared, "You eat frozen as in it was alive at one point…so technically it was killed, so what makes eating it alive any different?"
Alice cocked her head to one side, "While I can understand what you're getting at, I personally don't like killing another living thing, yes it seems silly since I am a snake but I just would rather eat it frozen, that's all. It's a personal choice and considering that snakes have such a bad image within the media, I feel that this choice is actually a better one for me."
Mist only stared and suddenly he burst into a rage of laughter!
"What is so funny?!" Alice demanded.
"Don't worry about him, Mist just has a warped sense of humor", Pak reassured, "I think it's a great idea, in fact, I think it's very nice of you, you are awesome!" Pak wrapped her up in a hug as she started giggling to herself, "Wow, thanks Pak, I wasn't sure about my new home but I feel much better about living here now!"
"Great, I'll show you around the house."
Mist started to calm himself until, "Hey Mist, I'm going to show Alice around the house, okay?"
The cat stopped as he sat up straight, staring at the two with even more anger and fury than before. "Oh that's just perfect, our damn owner goes to get a carnivorous reptile and what does she come home with?! A veggie snake! A damn wussy snake!" he yelled. Mistica came into the room as she saw Pak and Alice go past her, not thinking much of it until she saw that dark glare in Mist's eyes. She sat down on the bed next to him, silent for a moment until she finally decided to speak, "So….what's bugging you now?"
Mist, not even turning in her direction, answered her, "Nothing…I'm just fine, just peachy!"
Knowing that clearly he was lying, she felt it was best not to push it, "Okay….that's nice."

The idea for this next snippet came more from my own personal opinions based upon certain films. While I know that originally I posted that the opinons were that of the character, I kind of lied. So here are the movies featured in this snippet. G-Force- I actually never saw this but since it has guinea pigs in it and Pak being a guinea pig, I thought it would make a good joke. Mist's opinon about Disney's stuff being kid's stuff, okay, that is kind of my opinion too although some of Disney's newest films are starting to proof me wrong here or there so my opinon might be changing slightly but Burton's stuff is still awsome, hands down! ;D Twilight- I've seen each film so far but when it comes down to it, I personally prefer the movies more because the books are just really bad, it still shocks me how they could make the first movie out of a nearly twenty chapter book where most of it is Bella fantasizing about Edward. Resident Evil- Okay, at the time that I had posted this, I had never seen any of the RE films because according to other gamer fans, they were pretty bad. I have seen the first one though and unfortunately, I still think it's a bad movie. Snakes on a Plane- I love this movie! I just can't help it, it's so bad that it's freaking amusing! Now, this movie was the basis for this snippet because if there was one thing I hated it was all these reptile breeders and fanatics claiming bad stuff about the film but nearly a good number of them NEVER saw it! So here was my question, how could they claim the movie was anti reptile if they never saw it? That was one thing I never understood whe it came to this movie. Jaws and Cujo I have never seen, only heard of, Anaconda I have seen though. Attack of the Zombie Strippers- I have never seen this and I don't want to, I've seen the trailer and that's enough to tell me that it's more like necrophilia based porn. Scary movie based stuff- I have only seen two of those and it doesn't take a genius to see that they are bad! This is It- I have seen it and it is awsome! As for the jokes in this one: Mist calling others by nicknames- this is just something he does and he's more prone to do it to people and animals he doesn't like. Mist having an ex girlfriend be a poodle- Just to show that Mist is slightly perverted and will be with any girl despite her species. Mist can't work a blu-ray player- A slight joke to myself because for a good while I couldn't figure out how to work ours either but that's mostly to how complicated my dad has the whole thing hooked up! Movie NightMist pushed Pak's little toy wagon filled to the brim with various snacks in front of the couch then he turned his attention to the huge book shelf filled with dvd's. "Okay…it's movie night….so what's it gonna be?" Pak raised his little paws in the air with excitement, "Ooo, I know, I know, I know!" "We are NOT watching G-Force again!" "Awww, why not, Alice hasn't seen it yet?" Mist just glared, "Because I can only take so much of a movie about talking guinea pigs…and it's Disney…their crap is kid's stuff…except for Burton's stuff, now THAT stuff is awesome!" "Maybe we can watch something along the line of Twilight", Alice suggested, "I heard that those movies are very good!" "We aren't watching a chick flick…and something tells me that you haven't read the books. Trust me, you wouldn't like it if you read the books first!" Mist explained. "And why is that?" Alice told him, clearly demanding an explanation. "Read the god damn books first and then I'll explain to ya, veggie snake!" She gave him a frown, after she had explained that she was vegetarian, it didn't take long for Mist to come up with a good nickname to call her instead of her regular name. "We could watch Resident Evil!" Pak suggested. "Oh god no! The games are WAY better than the movie….besides, it has dogs in it, I hate dogs!" Pak mumbled to Alice, "This is coming from a guy that one of his exes was a poodle." "What was that!?" "Nothing." Pak told him. Mist knew it had to be something because the two were soon giggling again. "Okay…we could watch…Snakes on a Plane!" said Mist. Alice felt she had to speak up, "While I'm sure that movie is rather good in its own right, I would have to say that as a snake, I feel uncomfortable watching a film like that…cause since it's about snakes….like I said, nothing against the film, just I feel awkward watching it." Mist raised an eyebrow, "Okay? You don't hate the film but you don't want to watch it…is that what you're saying?" "More or less, yes." She explained. "That makes no sense." "Well, it kind of does." Pak added. "Pakrat…shut up", Mist then turned to Alice, "Seriously, do you think it's trying to make snakes looked screwed up cause it really doesn't." "Well, if you don't mind me asking, why did the main focus have to be about snakes? Why couldn't they have done some other animal like dogs or sharks?" "Because that has been done! Sharks…Jaws, dogs…Cujo! I'm sure you get it by now! Snakes on a Plane did something different cause the other animal related fears have been done." "Snakes have been done before in the movie Anaconda while I didn't like that much, has got to be better than Snakes on a Plane!" Mist glared, "Anaconda doesn't fucking count cause that focused on ONE snake but Snakes on a Plane focuses on snakes in general!" "Jaws and Cujo weren't general either", Alice retorted, "Jaws was about a Great white…one type of shark. Cujo was about a St. Bernard…one type of dog!" Now the two were very close to each others faces, "Cujo was based on a freaking book so you can blame Stephan King on that one…Jaws, I don't know who to blame for that but oh well! Where are you going with this freaking argument?" "The main point I'm trying to get at is that Snakes on a Plane is a little offensive, that's all!" "Okay, I have to know, have you ever seen the freaking movie?" "No!" "So how in the hell do you know it's offensive if you've never freaking seen it?" "I just know!" "No, you don't freaking know because you just admitted to never watching it, you can't judge a damn film based upon the fact that you've never seen it! If you would have watched it then I would be willing to give you some credibility there but you HAVEN'T so your opinion means absolutely NOTHING right now!" Pak could see that things weren't going well….they weren't going well at all, hoping to change the subject, "Maybe we could watch Batman….or Batman Returns! Huh Mist, it's got Catwoman, you love Catwoman!" "My opinion still matters despite not watching it but also, it's pretty stupid about where the snakes are! They are on a plane! What are the odds that you're going to find snakes on an airplane? At least in Anaconda, the snake is in a jungle, it's natural habitat which makes more sense than a stupid airplane?!" Pak tried again, "Or Batman Forever…Jim Carrey is an awesome actor too!" "A jungle?! Oh wow, how predictable of a place to find a snake! Big whoop! Finding a snake on a plane, though a little odd, actually makes a better scare factor cause you can't escape the freaking snakes even if you wanted to! It's either crash or get bit…jungle, just ran your a$$ away from it! You see where I'm going with this?" "No! No, I don't!" "There's always Batman and Robin!" Pak tried again. "We watch that movie or we go with my second choice!" Mist yelled. "Which is?" Alice yelled back. "It's either that or Attack of the Zombie strippers! Take your pick, princess!" "I pick neither!" she yelled in his face! Mist glared at her, "Oh, I get it, you think that since you're the newbie that you can decide what goes on and call the shots! Well guess what veggie snake, Hell NO! I'm the first pet so I'm basically alpha male and as so, I decide what we're going to watch!" From the other room, Mistica yelled, "If you guys can't decide on a movie, I'm going to pick one for you and NOBODY is going to like what I'm going to pick!" Pak immediately turned to the two, "You guys, she's serious…she might make us watch any of the Scary movie stuff or even the other horrible spoofs! Please, can't we do rock, paper, scissors or flip a coin to decide this?" Mist rolled his eyes, "I hate doing this but let's just watch something that nobody has seen…ever! That way, no body has nothing to say!" Alice nodded, "Fine, I can go with that, what movies do we have that we've never seen?" Mist walked back to the book shelf as he went down the names, "How about…This is It! It's that Michael Jackson film." "Okay." Mist pulled out the case to discover that it was blu-ray, "Uh…Hey Mistica, how do you set up the blu-ray player again?" Mistica looked around the corner of her room, "Seriously, you were the one messing with all of the junk when we bought it and you still don't know how to set it up?" "No…no, I don't." Mistica shook her head as she mumbled under her breath, "I hate movie night."

Artist notes: This particular snippet was more personal because it talked a little about myself and how in a way, I feel that I kind of bottle up the bad stuff in order to make it easier to deal with. The title of this snippet is actually a line from an eighties song I heard and the demon from Mistica's closet is a referrence to a demon monster that I used to draw when I was younger that I had made up called draco raptors.
Secrets that you keep
"Do you have any two's?" Alice asked while Pak tried looking through his hand of cards.
The little guinea pig shook his head, "Nope, go fish."
Then they heard a noise as they looked towards Mistica's room, she came out of her closet then as she usually did, she locked it. The two pets were quiet as she then left her room, passing by them without a word. By this time, Alice had been living with her new "family" for awhile but she couldn't help but notice that sometimes Mistica would take things into her closet or just go into it for whatever reason that could be but as to why she would lock the closet door made no sense to the small snake.
"Hey Pak?"
"Yeah."
"What does Mistica have in her closet?"
The guinea pig shrugged, "I don't know, stuff I would think."
"Okay but why would she lock the closet door?"
"I really don't know. Mist says that there are dark things in there and I would probably get eaten by some closet monster."
Alice stared at him for a minute, "Pak…monsters aren't real, you do know that, right?"
"Oh I know, I'm only saying that's what he told me, that's all."
She looked back at the door, the lock that held it was a simple latch which could be moved from one side of the lock to the other in order to secure the door. The little snake wondered to herself, whatever was in there couldn't be that much of a big deal if only one little lock was used to make sure that it was kept shut. She then turned her attention in the direction that Mistica went, not seeing her master in sight, she quickly slithered over to the door.
"Alice, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to peek under the door", but when she tried, she couldn't squeeze under, "Well, that's strange."
It took her a few moments to notice that the door was sealed underneath. Pak came over to her, "Oh well, can't get under, now back to the game." Then he noticed that she was gazing up towards the door, "You can't reach it cause you got no hands."
"True, but generally the body of a snake is practically pure muscle. I can find a way to get up there, despite a lack of limbs."
Alice then went to the nightstand and stretched herself up until she had wrapped herself around the little knob of the nightstand drawer then soon after, she pulled herself up on the nightstand itself. From there she used the alarm clock to help get herself to the doorknob and then stretched up to the simple lock. Using all of her strength, she undid the lock but once she did, the door for some strange reason budged open as if something had hit it, causing Alice to fall and land on top of Pak.
"What happened?" He asked her.
"I have no idea."
Almost as if on cue, the door then slowly opened up but all the two animals saw was darkness inside.
"There's nothing there!" Alice complained.
Suddenly, a low growl was heard and then a pair of dark yellow eyes, the pupils nothing more but black slits appeared and then quickly a large black claw reached out. Before it came down on them, Pak ran for it as the two screamed on their way out of the room.
Mist was in the living room, trying to nap but when he heard their screams, he woke up grouchy to see the two running for the couch and hiding behind it.
"What in the hell is wrong with you?! You know, I am a cat and do you know one thing that cats do? They freaking sleep! What in the hell is wrong now?!"
Pak was so scared that he could only talk in short bursts, "Alice opened…closet door…big thing…inside…"
"WHAT?!"
The two were shocked at his anger, "I'm guessing that you know that opening the closet door is bad", Alice asked him.
"Oh no, it's just fine…of course it's bad! Do you know what's in there? It's the-!" He was quickly cut off when he saw the creature running into the room.
Seeing it, he also followed suit and dove behind the couch, all three screaming! The creature was large and black, looking like a strange dinosaur with unusual wings but you could sense such a cold feeling of sadness, anger, and despair in its presence. Then the front door opened up, revealing a very shocked Mistica who quickly glared at the creature and spoke to it, "Get your tail back in there!"
Though angered, it obeyed as it then ran back to the closet, the door shutting behind itself. Mistica secured the lock then she went back to the living room where now her pets had come out of their hiding spot.
"Okay, who opened the closet door?"
The three pets shot glances from one to the other until a guilty Alice raised her tail in the air, "That would be me."
The echidna sighed, "Alright, I'll let it go because you're still new but one of the rules of this house is that nobody and I mean nobody opens that door, it stays closed and locked and as you can see, there's a good reason for that."
"If you don't mind, exactly what is that thing?"
"You know how some people say that they have skeletons in their closet…well, it's more like demons for me. Sometimes the negative emotions of the darker recesses of my mind are just too depressing to deal with and so, I feel that it's easier at times to lock them away in the closet because once you give those feelings a mind of their own, it's only a matter of time before it controls and destroys you."
The snake wasn't sure if she understood what was just said, Mistica only continued, "Look, all you have to know is that as long as that door stays locked then there's nothing to worry about."
"But wouldn't it be better if you face the demons instead of locking them away?"
Mistica looked at her funny, "I could do that but this way is easier." She then left the three pets within the living room as she decided to get something to eat.

Artist notes: So this next series of snippets was to introduce one of my other sonic fancharacters known as Kris the ferret. What inspired Kris's creation was a online buddy of mine but since I wanted Kris to be more original and not be a copy, I gave him a different personality and decided to make him be like a weird friend and love interest to my STH self. Originally when I was younger, I was going to do the stereotypical fangirl thing and pair my STH self up with a STH character but at that time, I was going to pair myself up with Vector the crocodile since I had a little character crush on him for awhile and also, because agewise, he was closer to age to Mistica than Shadow was. For those who don't know, Vector is about twenty while Shadow is in his fifties. What caused this character crush to die was Sega's own damn fault! When Sonic X introduced Vector and the rest of the Chaotix, the voice actor for Vector was NOT the same one from Sonic Heroes and the anime voice actor made Vector not only sound weird but also sound slightly stupid. The final season of Sonic X didn't improve and what really messed it up was that 4Kids had the anime voice actors do the game voices for the next couple of games as well. In the end, my character crush was killed by bad voice acting and since it was so hard to remember Vector fondly as he was in Sonic Heroes, my crush on him died and ended right there. Also in this snippet, Kris was going to meet Mistica while he was unconcious in a park but I thought about it and decided to change it since it wouldn't make much sense. As for Mist calling him a hobo, that is going to be a joke that I have heard on iCarly.
What's to come
Mistica was doodling, simply out of boredom because when it came down to it, she had nothing better to do. Then suddenly, the cat came running into the kitchen, "Mistica, you gotta come with me! We got a hobo in our basement!"
Her eyes instantly got wide then she glanced over to Mist, "We got a what in our basement?"
"A hobo, a homeless guy, I don't know but all I know is that the guy is asleep or dead or whatever down in the flipping basement!"
"Do we know if he's really dead or just asleep?"
"Woman, just get your ass off the chair and come on!"
She got herself up and followed the cat, when they got to the bottom of the basement stairs, she then saw him. Pak and Alice were timidly watching him then turned towards their master. It was a guy, a ferret it looked like but it was hard to tell. He had some kind of wacky hairstyle which nearly covered his face. Mistica slowly approached him and kneeled down until her eyes was level with the guy's face.
He looked to be in his twenties, clearly older than her but when she watched him, it was hard to tell if he was breathing. She then slowly decided to poke the guy's nose but nothing happened.
"Huh." she tried again but still nothing.
"We're not sure how he got in but apparently he got inside our basement." Alice explained.
"I can tell you how, it's called not locking the damn storm cellur door!" Mist told her.
"Well excuse me but how are we certain about that." she retorted.
"It doesn't take a genius, veggie snake!" Mist shot back.
"What's Mistica doing?" Pak asked.
"She's trying to wake him up assuming if he's not dead." Alice told him.
"Hey", Mist called, "I know how we can wake him up. Get a metal pole, heat up one end until it turns fire red, and poke him with it. If he's alive, he'll wake up, I can guarantee you that!"
Mistica ignored the three as she continued her poking nose method, Mist called to her, "Did you hear me?"
"I heard you but I don't think that's a good idea." Mistica answered him.
"Why not?"
"Because that will probably hurt the guy."
Mist shook his head, "When you say it that way then it sounds like a bad idea."
"It sounds like a bad idea either way." Alice told him.
"I'm getting this close to grabbing the butcher knife and turning you into sushi!"
"Sushi is made out of fish, as a cat I would think that you would know this."
"You guys, shut up!" Mistica scolded.
She decided to try something else, she flicked the guy's nose and then he started to stir. He rubbed the tip of his nose and then he slowly opened his eyes…well eye technically, his hair covered part of his face. Mistica then stood up as she glared at him, arms crossed and waited for him to truly wake up. He yawned but when he saw the animals and then her, he slowly looked up to see that she clearly wasn't happy.
"Oh…heh, well, guess somebody lives in this old place after all." he said.
Mistica didn't say a word and continued to glare at him. Sensing her anger, he slowly stood himself up, "Look…I'm sorry for you catching me here like this. In all honesty, I thought that nobody lived here given the condition that the place was in and also, I came in through your storm door over there."
"Told you." mumbled Mist to Alice.
"So…you just assumed that nobody lived here…mind explaining to me why you're in my house?" she asked him.
"I…was kind of tired and I needed a place to just rest for a bit, that's all." he answered.
His answer seemed a little off to her, why did he pause before answering her?
"Don't you have a place to stay at?"
"Uh, I'm afraid not", he started to explain, "I was staying in an apartment but I couldn't make the rent so the landlord kicked me out."
"Ha, I had a feeling that the damn guy was homeless!" Mist shouted.
"What?"
Mistica glared over at the cat, "It's nothing, private joke…you said that you have nowhere to stay? Don't you have any family around here in Station Square?"
"My family doesn't live around here." he answered her.
Wow, she thought, the guy really had nowhere to go, she was almost starting to feel sorry for him.
"Listen, maybe I could help put you up in a hotel for the night or something."
"Really, thanks, I do appreciate it."
The pets stared in shock as their master and this stranger walked up the stairs into the house. "Ah hell no!" Mist fumed, giving chase with Pak and Alice not too far behind.
Mistica tried to search through the phonebook, looking at some of the prices for a one night stay but all the places in this damn city were pretty expensive. She probably needed to come up with a backup plan, then she had an idea. Socks and Bullet lived in a pretty good size place, maybe he could stay with them for a few days. The guy though spent the time looking around at the strange little knick knacks and objects in her living room. Mistica called up the guys, waiting until she finally heard someone answer, "Hello?"
"Hey Bullet, it's Mistica, I have a little favor to ask you."
"Like what kind of favor?" he asked.
"Well, I found this random guy in my basement and he needs a place to stay. Is there anyway that you and Socks could let him stay at your place for a day or two?"
Bullet couldn't believe what he was hearing, putting out his cigerette, "You want to explain to me why you're trying to house some random guy?"
"Who's on the phone?" Angel asked.
Mistica sighed, the last person that needed to know about her visitor was Angel.
"Mistica's calling about some random guy in her house." Bullet told her.
Angel quickly grabbed the phone, "Mistica? Hey, what about some random guy?"
"Angel, give Bullet back the phone, it's just some random guy who was sleeping in my basement."
"How old is the guy? Is he cute?"
"Angel, give Bullet back the phone." Mistica repeated.
"What's his name?"
"I don't know", looking over at her visitor, "Hey, what's your name?"
Still looking oddly at a crystal ball, "The name's Kris."
"You hear that", Mistica answered, "His name is Kris, now give Bullet back the phone!"
"So how old is he?"
"Why would it matter to you, aren't you and Tails together?"
"We're taking a breather for awhile."
"Well you're eleven, he won't be interested in jail bait."
"How old is he?" Angel yelled.
"Give me back the god damn phone!" Bullet told her.
Mistica sighed, "Kris, how old are you?"
"Twenty four. Are your friends planning to let me stay with them?"
"I don't know, I'm trying to figure that out right now", back on the phone, "Give Bullet back the damn phone!"
"Fine", shoving the phone back to Bullet's face, "She wants to talk to you!"
"Thank you! Mistica, I don't know. I don't know the guy and you barely know the guy, I'm not liking the idea of letting some random stranger stay at my place."
"Fine."
Mistica hung up the phone, so now what, she didn't have enough cash to allow the guy to stay at a hotel and she didn't know the guy well enough to allow him to stay here. Well…she could let him stay here, just as long as she kept a very, VERY good eye on him.
"Okay, I guess until we find you somewhere else to stay, you can stay in the guest room." Mist's jaw nearly dropped, "She's letting the hobo stay here?!"
"Can we please stop calling him a hobo!" Alice told him.
"He has no house so I'll call the ferret whatever the hell I damn well please!" Mist retorted.

Artist notes: The only thing to basically explain in here is one line in where Kris asks Mistica why humans don't seem to be bothered by them and she tries to answer his question more or less but when it comes to the actual answer, that's one thing that is hard to answer. Depending on whether you read Archie's comics, have watched any of the cartoons, or even play the games, Sonic fans know that there isn't quite a clear explaination as to where Sonic came from because all three sources give more than one explaination. So in otherwords, I honestly don't know how to answer that question when it comes down to it but do know that in anything I write that relates to STH stuff, I go with similiar canon to Archie's comics in were both Earth and Mobius exist pretty much.
What's to come Part 2
While Mistica was preparing the bed in the guest room, Kris decided to sit down and watch some television. Mist glared at him, "He's sitting in my spot!"
The cat jumped onto the coffee table, blocking the view. "Uh…hi." Kris told him.
"You're sitting in my spot." Mist told him.
"What?"
"I said…you're sitting in my spot!" Mist yelled.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know-."
"Well guess what, now you know so get the hell off my spot!" Mist interrupted him.
Kris didn't want to fight so he gladly got up and instead headed over to see if the guest room was ready. When he walked into the room, Mistica had just finished putting new sheets on the bed. "Okay, there you go." she told him.
"Thanks." he answered.
"So tomorrow morning, I was thinking that maybe we could go and see who's hiring so that way you could get some work and be able to make some cash to get your own place. Is that okay?"
"That's fine." he told her.
Nodding as a sign of understanding, she closed the door to his bedroom and headed off to bed. The next morning, Kris got up to see that Mistica was already up but then again, she did say that they were going to go job hunting for him. He walked over to the mirror as he looked at his reflection…he couldn't help but wonder why she hadn't questioned him more than she did? He wondered if she had noticed the metal dreadlock that he had, knowing since she was echidna, she would know where it came from. He pulled back his hair, looking at his right eye for a few minutes. His ears perked up when he heard a slight tap coming at his door, quickly he let his dreadlocks fall upon that part of his face. Opening it, he saw that the guinea pig Pak was there, "Hey, we got breakfast, I helped make pancakes!"
"I'll be there in a minute." Kris told him.
"Well you better hurry, pancakes disappear in this house fast."
Kris watched as the guinea pig ran off towards the kitchen. Closing the door again, he then peered inside his closet, the small space had just stuff in boxes. He pulled out one box, opening it to reveal that hidden inside was a small pistol and a rifle…they were his. He had hidden them in the basement before he fell asleep and late into the night, snuck back into the basement to retrieve them. Checking to make sure that they were loaded, he was keeping this in mind as a just in case. He put them back and hidden them into the far corner of the closet. He left for the kitchen, seeing that more or less everyone had finished except for the cat. Not wanting to get into another dispute, he decided to skip breakfast and just wait for lunch.
"You're not going to eat?" Mistica asked him.
"Nah, not too hungry." Kris told her, eyeing the cat.
"Okay, whatever. Guess we better get going. Come on."
The two left the house while the pets stayed at home, Mist glared at Kris, "Damn hobo", he mumbled.
About a half hour later, Mistica and Kris had entered into Station Square. "So…humans don't mind us?" he asked.
"Well, since Sonic practically lives here, the humans really don't care." Mistica told him.
"Oh…that's nice to know. So, where are we going first as far as finding a job for me?"
"I think we'll try the mall first, they might be hiring if we're lucky."
Back at the house, Mist decided that he needed to scope out the guest room. The cat peered around, looking under the bed, then jumping on top. Scanning around but not sure what he was looking for. Then he noticed that the closet was slightly open.
"Hmm, well, what have we here?"
The cat pushed open the closet door and saw…nothing but the stupid boxes.
"Damn, I thought that he was definitely hiding something!"
The cat went ahead and left the room, "Damn hobo is still here!" Alice was trying to work on a puzzle, "Stop calling him a hobo", she told him.
"Stop telling me to not call the hobo a hobo, veggie snake!" he shot back.
Back at the mall, there were two male echidnas that were scanning the crowds of people passing by. "You sure that he was spotted here in this city?" one asked.
"According to our sources, he is in Station Square. Knowing him, he's trying his best to hide amongst these humans."
"Just explain to me why we're hunting him for? Is he really that important to the grandmaster?"
"Yes…he is", then the echidna noticed Kris with a female echidna, "Look! There he is!" The two slowly took off, keeping the two in their sight.

Artist notes: Continuing from previous snippet.
What's to come part 3
The first place that they decided to enter was a large department store…well, clearly not always the typical first job but since it was a bigger store, Kris getting a job here could possibly happen. The two went up to the help department as they approached the desk, a young lynx all dressed up smiled as she asked, "Yes, can I help you?"
"Are you guys hiring?" Mistica asked her.
The lynx eyed her for a minute before responding, "We might have a few open positions possibly although I'm not sure if it would be quite suitable for someone such as yourself."
Mistica glared back at her, "It's not for me, it's for him."
The lynx looked at Kris and her expression softened, "Well, we might have something open."
"Can we have an application then?"
The lynx grabbed a stapled packet and handed it to the two, "There you go, when you're done, you just bring it back here."
The two left the desk but then Kris showed some slight nervousness when he saw the two male echidnas come into the store. "Hey, I have to use the bathroom, you mind?"
"That's fine, it's over there." Mistica told him, pointing towards the restroom sign.
He took his time, eyeing the two male echidnas who seemed to be following him. After he entered the bathroom, they followed right behind and caught a glimpse of what stall he entered. The two waited for a few minutes until they heard a flush, the sound of the door unlocking but when the door opened, they saw that Kris was gone!
"The hell! Where did he go?" one echidna muttered.
The two peered inside but suddenly felt a kick from behind as they dove into the open stall and Kris quickly ran out once he had the chance.
"Get up! He's getting away!" yelled one to the other.
Kris snuck himself into the open mall, looking for an exit because he knew who sent those echidnas, it had to be her! Then he saw himself an opportunity and went out the south exit doors. The two male echidnas saw him and ran over to him, ignoring the strange glances from people shopping. Once they were outside, the only other place was the parking garage but when they came towards the entrance, the place was huge!
"Damn it, it'll take forever to find him!" said one.
"Doesn't matter", said his partner, "The grandmaster will have our hides if we don't bring him back! It took us this long to trace him back to this planet, it shouldn't be so hard to find him now!"
The two echidnas split up and took two sides of the parking garage and worked their way up from the bottom level.
Mistica was sitting on a stool in the perfume and makeup department, checking the clock, noticing that it was taking Kris a very long time to go to the bathroom. If she wasn't a girl, she would go check to see what his deal was but you can't just do that when it came to public restrooms. She sighed to herself, "Would you be interested in trying out a new fragrance" asked a sales associate.
"Huh? Oh no thank you, it's not quite my thing." she answered her.
"Oh, but it's a lovely smell." she retorted.
She grabbed Mistica's arm and sprayed it, trying to attempt selling her the product.
About half an hour later, the two male echidnas were exhausted, clearly unable to locate Kris. "Man, let's just forget it, I don't think he's here anymore!" stated one echidna.
"Well…the grandmaster is definitely going to kill us for this but…we might need to try again another time."
The two echidnas made their way over towards a black sports car, got in, and drove off. Once they were out onto the street, Kris crawled out from under a red mustang, relieved that they didn't find him. Then he realized what time it was, Mistica was definitely going to be suspicious of him if she wasn't already. The female echidna was feeling sick from the many perfumes that this woman was trying to sell her but then she saw Kris walk into the store.
"Hey, I thought that you were using the bathroom?" she asked him.
"They were cleaning it so I had to use one of the bathrooms within the center of the mall." he quickly lied.
"Oh, would your boyfriend be interested in a cologne?" asked the sales associate.
Mistica slightly blushed, "He's not my boyfriend! Thank you for the free samples but we have to go!"
She grabbed him by the wrist as she pulled him out of the store, still feeling the slight embarrassment from the woman's assumption. "So…were we going to pick up anymore applications?" he asked her.
"How about we just head back and you fill out this one before we pick up some more, okay?" she quickly responded.
"You okay?" Kris asked her.
"Yeah, I'm just fine. I would just rather be home where I can shower off all these stupid perfumes that she had me trying, that's all." With that said, the two went ahead and left the mall.

Artist notes: For those who never read the bio for Kris the ferret, he used to be a member of the Dark Legion. The Dark Legion, for those who don't know, is a group of technology obsessed echidnas who have turned away from their teachings of their culture, believing that technology is the only answer to their problems. I guess if you want to put it bluntly, they are a group who have turned against the ways of religion and culture for machinary or something like that. This group is a set of characters that is in the Sonic the hedgehog comics from Archies comics in case you have no idea still. Lien-da, who if I remember, is the current grandmaster which means she's the head of the whole group here. While I can not guarantee that all my info on the group is correct, it's pretty close, I tried my best to do all research if possible on them.
So what's next? Part one
After the incident of the employee mistaking Kris as Mistica's boyfriend, she decided to just pick up the applications by herself as opposed to Kris coming with her. Unfortunately, this left the guy home alone with the pets. She was a little concerned due to Mist showing his clear dislike for Kris…but then again, Mist didn't like anybody, not even Pak or Alice so it wasn't anything unusual.
Kris, on the other hand, stayed in the guest room during the time while Mistica was gone but it wasn't due to fear of Mist…it was for other reasons. While he didn't know the echidnas at the mall personally, he knew who sent them, it was clear that they were of the Legion. The Dark Legion to be exact…the same organization that Kris used to be a part of a few years ago back when he lived on Mobius. It had been awhile since he had seen other Legion soldiers but it seems that they finally had found out that he left his previous home to be here on Earth. The worst part of this was the fact that they knew what city he was in now and they would definitely be reporting that to the one person whom he used to work for exclusively…Lien-da.
He laid there upon the bed, remembering the old echidna well. Lien-da was the only one who gave Kris a chance and was willing to hire him as part of the Legion back when he was much younger. Back then, he seeked the help of the Legion due to losing his home to Dr. Eggman. Within time, the two had formed a special bond and it became more than just business as one puts it. The two were romantically involved but that was before Kris had found out how Lien-da was no different than Eggman and even at the time had a plan to take over the Dark Legion as Grandmaster. When he found his chance, he made adjustments to himself and left but naturally, Lien-da had soldiers go after him.
He wondered of how they were able to find him, it wasn't like America was a small country but then again, Sonic being seen in this city clearly didn't help him much. It wasn't like they had tracked his digital signiture, he had changed that before he left. His memory chip couldn't be tracked by the Legion anymore but naturally, that didn't slow them down at all. Then he heard yelling coming from down the hallway, chances are that cat was getting into a fight with the small snake again. He walked over towards the door and focused his cybernetic eye, changing his vision to his x-ray mode and allowing himself to see through the door towards where the pets were. All he saw was the cat and the snake fighting, just as he suspected; after a bit, Kris tired of watching and decided to lay down for a nap instead.
Back in the small office, Alice was furious at how Mist was still on the computer.
"Mist, get off now!" she yelled.
"Veggie snake, shut up!" he yelled back at her.
"I'm going to tell on you when Mistica gets back, do you hear me?" she threatened.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, whatever, I do what I want!" he retorted.
Alice was fuming now, "I swear…if you don't stop referencing Cartman from South Park, I am going to blow a fuse!"
Mist started to smirk, "Screw you, I'm going to keep on surfing!"
"Okay, that referrence was stupid, it's supposed to be that you would be going home!" and with that, Alice slittered away in anger. The cat simply purred to himself, feeling triumphant at his victory on being on the computer.
Alice instead decided to join Pak as he watched some comedian on the television. The little guinea pig was nibbling on a piece of apple when he saw Alice slitter up the couch to join him.
"So…what are you watching?" she asked him.
"Something on the history channel…I think." he explained.
"Oh, that's nice."
"Mist still on the computer?"
"Yes, unfortunately." Alice answered him.
He offered her some apple but she declined, "Carnivore, remember?"
"Oh yeah", he answered, "Well, I'm sure that Mistica will be back in a bit…so what do you think of our house guest?"
"I don't mind him although I am curious, if he needs to be the one finding a job, why is our owner doing the job hunting for him?"
"I don't know, maybe he's not a people person or maybe he wouldn't know where to go to find a job or something."
"Well, as long as he doesn't become a free loader then I won't mind him being here then."
"Mist don't like him." Pak told her.
"Please, Mist don't like anybody."
"Good point." The two decided to go ahead and just watch whatever show was on the screen, Mistica would be home soon enough.

Artist notes: So adding another chapter to the BTH snippets, so two things that I'm definitely going to be writing into these snippets is Angel's attraction to Kris and the Chaotix. First, on the topic of Angel. For those who have no clue, Angel the hedgehog is a fancharacter that was created and used in my Sonic fanfic titled Sonic Adventure 3. She was partially created to not only be a female hedgehog but also to play as a love interest for Tails. Even though I haven't written her in anything else since then, these snippets take place some time since my SA3 fic and at the moment, the two have their arguements due to Angel being pretty independent and Tails wanting to be the strong hero so at the time of these snippets, the two are taking a break away from each other. Angel is a little flirty so I thought it would make things interesting for her to try her luck with Kris while also annoying my character self a little. Next, the Chaotix will be featured in here as well since they have played a slight role in the comics as far as fighting against the Dark Legion but you'll see more of them in the later snippets.
So what’s next part two
Mistica walked out of the grocery store, holding another application for Kris. Next to her was Angel who apparently felt like tagging along just for the hell of it. She looked at the small stack that the echidna was carrying, “So, these are all for your cute visitor?”
“If you mean Kris, yes, they’re for him.”
“Has he made any moves on you?”
Mistica glared at her, “No, why would he?”
“Well, I’m sure as a guy he’s been around.” she smugly answered.
“Whatever you’re thinking, don’t! We haven’t slept together for your information!”
“Then where in your house is he staying?” Angel asked her.
“He’s staying in the guest room!” Mistica shot back.
“What?! You for once get a guy to stay at your place and he’s sleeping in your guest room! Damn, if I were in your situation, I would have him sleeping in the same bed as me!”
“Well guess what Angel, I’m not you!”
The purple hedgehog sighed, “Obviously not.”
Mistica rolled her eyes, “Besides, what’s it to you anyway?”
“Well…if he’s obviously not with you then that means he’s available then.” Angel answered with a smirk.
“I don’t think he would date jail bait and by that, I mean you.”
The hedgehog simply sighed, “Whatever, so where do you want to go next then?”
“Huh, well, we could definitely try that one gas station near here.”
The two walked the way over towards the gas station, Mistica asking the manager only to find out that they weren’t hiring ufortunately. Angel then noticed that a small bee was grabbing himself a handful of candies, “Hey, isn’t that little guy with the Chaotix?”
Mistica turned to see that she was right, “Yeah, that’s Charmy! If he’s here then for certain Vector and Espio are close by. Maybe we could try asking them to see if they got work for Kris possibly.”
“I don’t know”, Angel answered, “They don’t get too much work to began with so I don’t think it would be worth it.”
“Well, it still doesn’t hurt.”
Charmy’s arms were loaded with chocolate bars but the little bug flew so quickly that he zipped right between the girls straight towards the counter. After he purchased the candy and the cashier loaded them all into a bag, he turned to see Angel and Mistica right behind him. “Oh, hey guys, what’s up?” he asked them.
“Hey Charmy, do you know if Vector could be hiring?”
“Hiring”, he asked a little confused, “Hiring for what?”
The echidna sighed, “Maybe I better ask him, where is he at?”
“Outside, he’s waiting for me to buy my candies.”
Sure enough, the girls followed to see that Vector and Espio were outside, apparently talking about whatever case they were working on. “Hey Vector, think you guys need possibly another detective?” Mistica asked him.
“Sorry Mistica, I’m not sure if detective work is cut out for you.”
“It’s not for me”, she retorted, “There’s this guy I know who needs a job, you hiring perhaps?”
The crocodile stared at her for a bit, “Depends…who’s this guy?”
“Just a friend I met, are you hiring or not?” Mistica asked again. Vector and Espio exchanged glances before he answered her, “Right now, we’re working on a case so we don’t have the time but how about on Friday, you bring along this friend for a simple interview and we’ll see if he’s detective material.”
“Alright, where do we meet?”
He gave it some thought, “How about right outside the entrance to Twinkle Park.”
“Okay, sure, I’ll tell him.” As Mistica and Angel decided to take off, Espio couldn’t help but wonder, “So, does this mean that we’re getting a fourth member then?”
“Not quite, just because I’m going ahead with an interview doesn’t mean this guy is automatically getting hired. If he’s not detective material then he’s not getting the job.”
The chameleon agreed with him on this one, “Let’s not forget about the mission at hand.”
“I know, word on the street is that the Dark Legion sent two agents, why, we don’t know yet but we’re going to find out, that’s for sure!” Charmy already started eating one candy bar when Vector announced, “Alright boys, let’s get back to work! Knowing the Dark Legion, they’re up to no good as usual so we need to beat them to the punch!” “Okay.” remarked Espio. Charmy, the on other hand, simply mumbled a reply since his mouth was full of chocolate.

I finally caught up with all of these and they're really cool to read. Very entertaining And I like learning more about some of your characters that, previously, I'd only seen pictures and read bios of. Thanks, that was one of the ideas that I had for these snippets that it allowed me to use some of my characters that some have never even been used in fanfiction ever. I think that the only three of my STH characters that have ever been in a fanfiction has been Angel, Socks, and Bullet. Other STH characters that I do plan on featuring in some of these snippets, I never really got a chance to feature in writing since I haven't written an official Sonic fanfiction since my SA3 fanfic. I like writing these because since I don't focus as much on them than my usual fics then it allows me to have a little more fun with them.

So for this snippet, it's pretty much showing the interview that Mistica was able to set up for Kris to see if he could get hired as part of the Chaotix detective agency. Since in the comics, it is canon that Vector has dealt with the Legion quite a bit, then it would come as no surprise for him to be able to get an idea that Kris is affliated with them in some way. Clearly this could cause some tension between the two later on. Along with that, it's chapters like this that allows me to work a little more on Kris as far as his personality goes. Since he's much older than Mistica is (he's twenty four while she's about seventeen) then I try to use my own experiences at these two ages to try and think of what would allow the two to be different from each other. For example, the scene in here in relation to Kris not wearing his shirt, due to his age, he doesn't see why being seen half naked like that is a big deal but to Mistica, given her age, she's embaressed by it. Stuff like this basically comes from my thoughts of how I view things now compared to how I felt back at that age of seventeen. It's funny how certain things I like now or even do now I would have never liked, took interest in, or even attempted back at 17. As a heads up, the next snippet will be comedy based, I want to make at attempt at showing Mist's dark side by seeing him make an attempt at killing Kris off with some rather negative results, hopefully it will be pretty funny but until then, enjoy the chapter.
So what’s next part three
For the next few days, Mistica felt that Kris would have his applications done but to her surprise, he didn’t even attempt on filling them out. She grabbed the stack and with a sigh, went over to the guest room without even attempting to knock. All he was doing was laying on his bed, not even sleeping but just kind of staring into space.
“Hey, you got applications to fill out, they’re not going to fill themselves, you know?”
Kris peered over to her and sat up on his bed as she pushed the small stack into his hands. Then she glared at him, “Where’s your shirt?”
Shrugging, he answered her, “It’s hot in my room, is that a problem?”
Starting to turn red, she tried to come up with a response, “If you’re feeling warm then turn on the fan, there are girls that live in this house and it’s not appropriate, also you better get ready, we’re heading over to Twinkle Park for you to get your first interview.”
“Wait, how am I getting an interview if I haven’t filled out anything yet?”
“I talked something over and got you an interview, like I said, get dressed and we’ll leave in a bit.”
Kris watched her as she left the room, then he thought about what she said, it wasn’t like he was naked, just his shirt. Personally, he didn’t see what the big deal was but then again, he remembered feeling that way when he was her age too. He smiled to himself, ah yes, when he was younger…gosh did he miss those days. Grabbing the shirt off the ground, he pulled it on and went to meet her. As the two went out the door, Mist watched with hateful eyes, glaring at Kris venomously.
“I swear, the hobo has got to go!” he growled after the two were outside.
Alice and Pak stared at him with only Alice remarking, “Please stop calling him a hobo.”
While Mistica and Kris were walking, she started to get on him a little, “After your interview, you need to get started on the applications. If you want, I can help you on filling them out but if you want to get a job, you do need to start on them.”
“Sure thing, mom”, Kris answered her with a smirk, “I’ll remember that.”
“Ha, ha, mom, very funny.”
When they made it to Twinkle Park, Kris suddenly felt tension because he saw whom they were meeting up with.
“Kris, this is Vector, he’s the head of the Chaotix detective agency. Vector, this is Kris, he’s the one who’s here for the interview.” Mistica explained.
Vector’s eyes glanced over him, then they quickly shot to the metal dreadlock, “Well, he looks like he can handle himself but it’s going to be awhile, maybe you can find something to do during the time, Mistica.”
“Alright, I’ll give you guys an hour, is that okay?”
Vector grinned, “Yeah, I think that will be good, an hour is plenty of time.”
Once she took off and was out of sight, Vector’s attention turned to that of Kris, “How about we head inside the park, they have a food court where we can just sit and talk, if that’s alright with you?”
“Uh, sure, that’s fine.”
Once they found themselves a table, Vector just sat there with his arms crossed for a bit.
“Okay, Kris is it? Let’s go ahead and ask some simple questions, alright? Tell me, what do you know about what we at the Chaotix do?”
“Well, I understand that you guys are detectives since Mistica introduced you as such.”
“So tell me”, Vector asked, “What kind of detective experience do you have?”
“I’m afraid that I don’t have any experience in that field but I did do some time in the service.”
This caught the crocodile’s attention, “Really? What did you serve in, military, army?”
Kris realized that clearly he went a step too far with what he said, “Uh…the army”, he lied. Then Vector looked at his metal dreadlock again, “Did you ever get sent out?”
“A few times.” Kris lied again.
“So let me ask you this, tell me why you feel that you deserve this job?” Vector asked him.
“Well, I just feel that I could handle a job like this and if hired, that I would do the best that I can in helping out in solving any cases that we get.”
With a nod, Vector decided to end this, “Well, that wraps it up then, thank you for your time, if we decide to hire you then we’ll call you.”
Kris found it very odd that clearly the interview wasn’t a full hour but relieved to see that it was over, he shook Vector’s hand and took his leave. Vector walked over towards one of the rides as he saw Espio leaning against the gate to the attraction.
“So how did it go?” Espio asked.
“Fine, I’m suspecting that Mistica’s little friend is Legion.”
“Really? How so?”
“Well, he’s got that metal dreadlock, that’s mostly Legion based attire and also, his responses to my questions seemed a little off and he seemed to be a little nervous around me.”
“What did he say?” the chameleon asked.
“He says that he was in the army but somehow, I don’t think so. I know Legion when I see them and I have a very strong hunch that this guy is definitely part of the Dark Legion.”
“So now what?” Espio questioned.
“We have some investigating to do…we need to make this Kris our top priority, find out all we can about him and if he’s the reason that we saw those other two Legion members that were here in Station Square.”
“How soon do we need to get on this?”
“As soon as possible.” Vector told him.
As a citizen of Mobius, he had dealt with the Dark Legion many times and he knew who they were. If Kris was truly Dark Legion affiliated, there was no way that he would get away from this croc.
