I've actually rediscovered this song just recently. It's one of those things where you really don't care for a song when you first listen to the CD, so you skip the song. Then you listen to it a couple months later and fall in love with it. The lyrics are absolutely beautiful. I've always admired Flowers for his his strong spirit, even if I don't agree with his religion. He's my favorite artist after Amanda Palmer.

That was a pretty nice song and I know what you mean about songs like that, the same thing happened to me when I heard a Three Days Grace song that originally I really didn't care for when I had first bought the cd.
Lately, I've been listening to Rihanna's S&M quite a bit, it's just so catchy and really a good song despite what it's about. I find the music video to be just a little funny though.
I don't know why but the first time I heard this song, it made me think about my female Servine on my pkmn black version. In fact, I drew a piece of fanart due to it's inspiration. Now, it also makes me think about pokemon a little, makes me wonder if some pokemon actually get their kicks from battling XD I know, it sounds weird, speaking of that picture, I want to do a gimp version of it since this song is one of my favs right now.

Oh, I've heard that song before! Didn't she sing it at some music awards show this year? I usually don't like songs like that, but I like that one. Same with the one with her and Eminem.
Mumford and Sons, an amazing band. Very poetic. I just fall into their music.

I don't know if Rihanna did or not, I'm not too big on watching award shows but I do like it, also along with the one by her and Eminem where there are two versions. The one on Eminem's latest album and a version on her latest album. Both versions are pretty good.
That was interesting, kind of reminded me a little of some of the older styles of music around in like the seventies a little.

I've only heard the version on the radio! I'll have to look the other one up. I just loved that song so much!
A little something humorous from the lovely Lily Allen.

Wow, I almost like it better than the original! I like seeing the situation from both sides and I really love how much passion Eminem has in his voice in this version in particular.

Yeah, it's really good, personally I like both versions for certain. As for Eminem, his rapping style is changing a little and it shows, it's just a shame that some of his hard core fans don't see that. I sometimes see pretty stupid comments of fans wanting him to go back to how he rapped in the beginning but they forget or don't realize was that the syle that Eminem started rapping in was due to him being pretty angry and also having problems at home and personal problems such as drugs. I don't mind the changes he's made as long as he's done these changes for what's best for him and his family.

Yeah, Eminem started really angry, when to funny, then back to angry, then back to funny, and then kind of in the middle. He's been changing since he started, and why not? Who wants to hear the same type of music for two decades, and who would blame him for not wanting to sing the same thing over and over again?

Exactly, I know that I don't, that's for sure although I do enjoy his rap songs that are funny, wouldn't mind hearing some more of those from time to time. XD

I was searching on Youtube and discovered that one of the members of Rascall Flatts had teamed up with two other country artists to write a special song for Caylee Anthony, the song is called She's Going Places and it's a beautiful song, I swear that this song honestly made me cry.

Very sad I can't believe that someone would hurt a little girl so precious. She was beautiful and it said that the world only got to know her after she was already gone from it.

I know, if she was still alive she would be five years old, the same age as my baby brother! I also heard that in Florida they have enacted a bill called Caylee's Law that states that it would be a crime to not contact police with a missing child report during the first 48 hours. I'm glad to see that the state of Florida has tried to do something positive despite the case's outcome. Would be nice if this was a national law instead of just a state based law though.

It's nice to hear that someone good may come out of this, but it's sad that it always takes a death of one to save others. This whole story reminds me of the Mathew Shepard case back in the 90s. Also made national headlines, had songs written about it, and eventually passed a law only a couple years ago that expanded hate crimes laws.
The sad thing is, the killers actually weren't drinking. They were predetermined to attack a gay man that night and were completely sober. Mathew Shepard was found 18 hours after his brutal beating in a coma. Blood covered his all of his face with the exception of the lines from his tears. He then died and toy other young men were locked away for life because of the ignorance and intolerance they were born and bred in. Elton sums up the whole story perfectly.
